14-Year-Old Flees in Stolen Car

Police are searching for a 14-year-old boy who fled in a stolen car on Tuesday evening. The teen is accused of stealing a car from a driveway in the 100 block of Elm Street. The car's owner, 52-year-old John Smith, reported the theft to police at 7:30 p.m. Smith said he had left his car running in the driveway while he went inside to get something. When he came back out, his car was gone.

Teenager Crashes Stolen Car

The teenager was driving the stolen car when he crashed it into a tree on Maple Street. The crash happened at 8:15 p.m. The teenager was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police said he was driving without a license and was under the influence of alcohol.
