A14 traffic diversion route as 'police incident' shuts road near Bury St Edmunds
The A14 is closed in both directions near Bury St Edmunds after a "police incident".
Suffolk Police have shut the A14 in both directions between junction 45 and junction 46 following an incident.
Diversions are in place, but delays are expected.
A diversion route is in place for traffic travelling eastbound. Exit the A14 at junction 45 and follow the A143 towards Bury St Edmunds. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto the A134 towards Sudbury. At the next roundabout, take the first exit onto the A1092 towards Haverhill. Stay on the A1092 until you reach the A14 at junction 50, where you can re-join the A14.
Traffic travelling westbound is being diverted at junction 46. Exit the A14 and take the A1092 towards Haverhill. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto the B1063 towards Clare. Stay on the B1063 until you reach the A14 at junction 45, where you can re-join the A14.
