Tragic Accident in the Ore Mountains Kills One, Injures Another

Emergency services responded to a serious accident in the Ore Mountains on Monday afternoon

One person has died and another has been seriously injured in a tragic accident in the Ore Mountains on Monday afternoon

Emergency services were called to the scene on the B95 between Breitenbrunn and Markersbach at around 2:30 pm after a car left the road and collided with a tree.

The driver of the car, a 32-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, a 28-year-old woman, was seriously injured and taken to hospital by air ambulance.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation, but police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
