Callum McGregor OUT INJURED for Celtic as Brendan Rodgers makes changes after midweek heroics...
Celtic will be without captain Callum McGregor for Saturday’s Premiership clash with St Mirren in Paisley.
The Scotland midfielder suffered a knock in the Hoops’ 2-1 win over RB Leipzig in the Champions League in midweek and will miss the trip to face the Buddies.
McGregor has been a key player for Celtic recently, but missed the early part of the season through injury. The club will be hoping he can return as soon as possible.
Boss Brendan Rodgers has made a number of changes to the team that started against Leipzig, with Craig Gordon replacing Joe Hart in goal and Moritz Jenz coming in for Cameron Carter-Vickers in defence.
In midfield, Matt O’Riley and Aaron Mooy are preferred to David Turnbull and Reo Hatate, while Giorgos Giakoumakis and Liel Abada start up front alongside Kyogo Furuhashi.
Celtic go into the game looking to extend their lead at the top of the Premiership table to six points after Rangers lost to St Johnstone on Wednesday night.
