Police said they attempted to stop a car for a routine check, but the driver failed to stop and sped away. A chase ensued, with the police car pursuing the suspect vehicle through the city streets.

The chase came to an end when the suspect's car crashed into another vehicle at an intersection. The impact of the crash sent both vehicles careening into a nearby building. The driver of the suspect vehicle was taken into custody, and the injured bystander was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
