Colin Farrell has embarked on a 26.2-mile (42.2-kilometer) marathon in London to raise funds for a cancer research facility that is treating his close friend.

Farrell announced his plans to run the marathon in support of the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, a specialist cancer treatment center in London, in March 2023.

The Irish actor revealed that his friend was receiving treatment at the Royal Marsden and that he wanted to do something to help.
