“He is being looked at…”: West Ham considering 49-year-old as Lopetegui replacement

West Ham are reportedly considering Rafael Benitez as a potential replacement for Julen Lopetegui, who was sacked by the club on Monday.

Benitez, 49, is a former Liverpool, Chelsea and Real Madrid manager with a wealth of experience in the Premier League and Champions League.

He is currently out of work after leaving Everton at the end of last season.

Benitez is a highly experienced manager with a proven track record of success.

He has won the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup during his time at Liverpool and Chelsea.

He also has experience of managing in Europe, having led Valencia to the UEFA Super Cup in 2004.

If West Ham decide not to appoint Benitez, there are a number of other potential candidates who could be considered.

These include former Burnley manager Sean Dyche, ex-Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino and ex- Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Benitez is currently the favorite to take over at West Ham.

He has the experience and the track record that the club is looking for.

However, it is still early days and there are a number of other candidates who could still be considered.

West Ham are expected to make a decision on their new manager in the coming days.

The club is keen to appoint someone as soon as possible to give them time to prepare for the new season.
