Nebraska Volleyball 2024 Season: Complete Schedule Released

Key Matchups and Exciting New Additions

The highly anticipated 2024 Nebraska Volleyball season is upon us, with the official schedule released by the University of Nebraska Athletic Department. The Cornhuskers will once again play a challenging slate of matches, including two key matchups against top-ranked opponents.

One of the most notable aspects of the 2024 schedule is the addition of the "Nebraska Big Ten Challenge." This event will take place at the CHI Health Center in Omaha, Nebraska, and will feature the Huskers facing off against the reigning national champions, Wisconsin Badgers. The match is scheduled for August 26th and is sure to draw a large and enthusiastic crowd.

In addition to the Big Ten Challenge, Nebraska will also host several other high-profile matches during the season. These include a matchup against the defending national runner-up, Stanford Cardinal, on September 9th, and a showdown with the Penn State Nittany Lions on October 21st.

The Huskers will open their season on August 24th with a match against the Creighton Bluejays in Lincoln, Nebraska. They will then hit the road for a pair of matches against the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Minnesota Golden Gophers before returning home to face the Ohio State Buckeyes on September 7th.

Nebraska's conference schedule begins on September 14th with a match against the Maryland Terrapins. The Huskers will then face a tough stretch of matches in October, with road games against Wisconsin, Penn State, and Purdue. They will close out the regular season with a home match against the Illinois Fighting Illini on November 23rd.

The 2024 NCAA Volleyball Tournament will take place from December 6th through December 16th. The Huskers will be hoping to make a deep run into the tournament and compete for their first national championship since 2017.
