Liverpool manager Arne Slot defends Arsenal over ‘dark arts’ accusations
Slot says Arsenal are ‘a very good team’ and ‘deserve to be where they are’ in the Premier League
Liverpool manager Arne Slot has defended Arsenal over accusations of using ‘dark arts’ to win games, saying that the Gunners are ‘a very good team’ and ‘deserve to be where they are’ in the Premier League.
Arsenal have been accused of using time-wasting tactics and other unsporting methods to gain an advantage over their opponents, but Slot believes that these accusations are unfair.
“I think Arsenal are a very good team,” Slot said. “They have a lot of quality players and they are very well-coached. They deserve to be where they are in the Premier League.”
Slot also praised Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, saying that he has done a ‘great job’ with the team.
“Arteta has done a great job with Arsenal,” Slot said. “He has brought in a lot of young players and he has given them a chance to shine. He has also created a very good team spirit.”
Liverpool will face Arsenal in the Premier League on Saturday, and Slot is expecting a tough game.
“Arsenal are a very good team and they will be a tough opponent for us,” Slot said. “But we are also a good team and we are confident that we can get a result.”
