Reds boss hails new signings as team impresses in pre-season
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has hailed his team's "fantastic start" to pre-season under new signings Darwin Nunez and Fabio Carvalho.
Klopp: 'We're in a good place'
The Reds have won all three of their pre-season friendlies so far, scoring 10 goals and conceding just one, and Klopp is delighted with the progress his team has made.
“We're in a good place,” Klopp told Liverpoolfc.com. “The new players have settled in well, and the whole team is working hard. We're creating a lot of chances and scoring goals, which is always a good sign.”
Nunez and Carvalho impress
Nunez and Carvalho have both impressed in pre-season, with the former scoring three goals in his first three games for the club.
Carvalho 'a special talent'
Klopp has been particularly impressed with Carvalho, who he believes is a “special talent”.
Reds face Man City in Community Shield
Liverpool will face Manchester City in the Community Shield on July 30, and Klopp is looking forward to the challenge.
"It will be a tough game, but it's a good opportunity for us to see where we are,” Klopp said. “We'll be ready for it.”
