Maiden Moray visit for new Scottish Tory leader
Douglas Ross to meet local members and businesses
New Scottish Conservative leader Douglas Ross is to visit Moray for the first time since taking up the role.
Mr Ross will meet local party members in Elgin on Friday before visiting businesses in Buckie and Lossiemouth on Saturday.
He said he was keen to hear from people in the area about the issues that matter most to them.
'Important to listen to local people'
"It is important for me to get out and about and listen to local people about the challenges and opportunities facing their communities," he said.
"I am particularly keen to hear about the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on Moray and what more the Scottish Government can do to support businesses and individuals.
"I am also keen to hear about the progress being made on key infrastructure projects in the area, such as the Moray Growth Deal," he added.
