Cause Of Death

Family's Statement
In a statement, Nicola Bulley's family said: "We are devastated to confirm that our worst fears have been realized. Nicola has been found dead.
"We want to thank everyone who has helped in the search for Nicola, especially the police, the mountain rescue teams, and the members of the public who have given their time and support," they added. "We will never be able to comprehend what Nicola went through in her last moments, and we will never know why she disappeared from that riverbank that day," the statement continued. "We have lost our precious Nichola, but there is nothing that can bring her back," her family said. "We will never forget her, and we will always love her," they added. The Search
Nicola Bulley, a 45-year-old mother-of-two, went missing on January 27 while walking her dog along the River Wyre in Lancashire, England. Her dog was found wandering alone on the riverbank shortly after she disappeared.
The search for Nicola Bulley involved hundreds of police officers, search and rescue teams, and members of the public. The search was hampered by bad weather and strong currents in the river.
The discovery of Nicola Bulley's body has brought closure to her family and friends, but it has also raised questions about how she came to be in the cave where she was found.
The police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding Nicola Bulley's death. A report will be prepared for the coroner.
