Matarazzo Eyes Fresh Start, Hopes for Trio Return
Hertha Berlin goalkeeper Alexander Matarazzo is looking forward to a fresh start under new coach Sandro Schwarz and hopes to see the return of three key players.
Matarazzo has been in fine form for Hertha since joining the club in 2020, but the team has struggled for consistency in recent seasons.
The 29-year-old is confident that Schwarz can help Hertha turn things around and is excited about the prospect of working with the new coach.
"I'm really looking forward to working with Sandro Schwarz," Matarazzo said. "He's a very experienced coach who has a clear idea of how he wants his team to play.
"I think he can help us to be more consistent and to achieve our goals."
Matarazzo is also hopeful that three key players will return to the team in the summer.
Midfielder Vladimir Darida, defender Dedryck Boyata and striker Krzysztof Piatek have all been linked with moves away from Hertha.
However, Matarazzo believes that all three players are vital to the team and hopes that they will stay.
"I hope that Darida, Boyata and Piatek will all stay with us," Matarazzo said. "They are all very important players for us.
"We need them to be at their best if we want to be successful.
Hertha finished 10th in the Bundesliga last season and will be looking to improve on that this year.
Matarazzo is confident that the team has the potential to achieve great things and is excited about the future.
"I believe that we have a very good team," Matarazzo said. "We have a lot of quality and a lot of potential."I'm confident that we can achieve great things this season."
