Obi-Martin offers early van Nistelrooy parallel with sensational Man Utd start
Red Devils' exciting new signing has already showcased a ruthless streak in front of goal, just like the legendary Dutchman
Facundo Pellistri has warned Manchester United fans not to expect too much, too soon from new signing Antony, despite his stunning start.
The Brazilian winger has scored three goals in his first three matches for United, including a stunning long-range effort in the 3-1 win over Arsenal.
However, Pellistri believes that it is important to remember that Antony is still only 22 years old and has a lot to learn.
"Antony is a great player, but he is still young," Pellistri said. "He has a lot of potential, but he needs time to develop.
"We should not expect too much from him too soon. We need to be patient and let him grow into the team."
Pellistri also believes that Antony can learn a lot from his fellow forwards, such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Marcus Rashford.
"He has some great players around him who can help him to improve," Pellistri said. "He can learn a lot from Ronaldo and Rashford.
"I am excited to see how he develops in the coming months and years."
Antony's early form has led to comparisons with former United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy, who also scored three goals in his first three matches for the club.
Van Nistelrooy went on to become one of United's greatest ever strikers, scoring 150 goals in 219 appearances.
It is still too early to say whether Antony can reach the same heights as van Nistelrooy, but his start at United has certainly been impressive.
If he can continue to score goals and help United to win trophies, then he will quickly become a fan favourite at Old Trafford.
