Patriot Battery Metals Inc. (TSXV: PMET) is pleased to announce positive results from its ongoing drill program at its Corvette Lithium Property located in James Bay, Quebec.
The drill program, which commenced in March 2023, is designed to further delineate the known lithium spodumene mineralization and explore for additional zones of mineralization on the property.
The latest drill results continue to highlight the strong potential of the Corvette Lithium Property to host a significant lithium deposit. The presence of high-grade lithium spodumene mineralization over wide intervals indicates the potential for a large-scale lithium resource on the property.
Drill Results
The drill program has successfully intersected lithium spodumene mineralization in all holes drilled to date. The mineralization occurs within a pegmatite dyke that has been traced over a strike length of approximately 1.5 kilometers (km).
The highlight of the latest drill results is a 20.9 m intercept grading 1.45% Li2O from drill hole CV23-011. This intercept is located in the eastern portion of the property, approximately 150m from previous drilling.
Other notable intercepts include:
- 11.4 m grading 1.01% Li2O from drill hole CV23-009
- 9.0 m grading 1.05% Li2O from drill hole CV23-010
Exploration Program Update
The drill program is ongoing, with two drill rigs currently in operation. The program is expected to be completed in June 2023, with a total of approximately 10,000m of drilling planned.
In addition to the drilling program, Patriot is also conducting a geophysical survey on the property. The survey is designed to identify additional targets for drilling.
The exploration program is being funded by a $10 million private placement that Patriot closed in March 2023. The funds will be used to complete the drill program, conduct the geophysical survey, and advance the property to a resource definition stage.
About the Corvette Lithium Property
The Corvette Lithium Property is located in the James Bay region of Quebec, approximately 400 km north of Montreal. The property consists of 110 claims covering an area of approximately 5,000 hectares.
