Rival coaching staff admit they’ve stopped listening to Mikel Arteta
Arteta's tactics and team selection have come under fire in recent weeks, with his side winning just one of their last six Premier League games.
And now, it has emerged that rival coaching staff have stopped paying attention to what the Spaniard has to say on the touchline.
"We don't listen to him anymore," one coach told The Independent. "He's always saying the same things, and it's not working."
Another coach added: "He's a good coach, but he's not a great communicator. He doesn't seem to be able to get his message across to the players.
The criticism of Arteta comes at a time when Arsenal are struggling for form. The Gunners are ninth in the Premier League table, and they have been knocked out of both the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup.
Arteta has defended his record at Arsenal, but he has admitted that the team needs to improve.
"We're not in a good moment," he said after the defeat to Manchester City. "We need to find a way to turn things around."
Whether Arteta can turn things around at Arsenal remains to be seen. But it is clear that he has lost the support of some of his fellow coaches.
