Sebastian Hoeneß Reportedly Turns Down Manchester United
Bundesliga Coach Uninterested in Premier League Move
Hoeneß Currently at the Helm of TSG Hoffenheim
Sebastian Hoeneß, the current head coach of TSG Hoffenheim, has reportedly turned down an approach from Manchester United. The German coach has been linked with the Premier League giants in recent weeks, but according to Bild, he has no interest in leaving Hoffenheim at this time.
Hoeneß, 41, has been in charge of Hoffenheim since 2020 and has guided the club to two top-half finishes in the Bundesliga. He is widely regarded as one of the most promising young coaches in Germany and has been tipped for a big job in the future.
Manchester United are on the lookout for a new manager following the sacking of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer last month. The club has been linked with a number of high-profile names, including Erik ten Hag and Mauricio Pochettino, but it seems that they will have to look elsewhere for their next manager.
Hoeneß's decision to turn down Manchester United is a blow to the club's hopes of appointing a new manager before the start of the new season. The club is now expected to focus on other targets, with ten Hag and Pochettino still thought to be among the frontrunners.
