Sir Michael Parkinson is to host a new podcast, one year after his death. The podcast, which will be released posthumously, will feature some of the legendary broadcaster's most iconic interviews.
Parkinson's family have given their blessing to the project, which will be produced by BBC Sounds. The podcast will be hosted by Parkinson's long-time friend and colleague, the broadcaster Steve Wright.
Wright said: "I am thrilled to be hosting this podcast and to be able to share some of Sir Michael's most memorable interviews with a new audience. He was a broadcasting giant and a true gentleman, and I know that listeners will enjoy hearing his voice again."
Parkinson's widow, Lady Parkinson, said: "I am delighted that Michael's voice will continue to be heard through this podcast. He loved talking to people and he had a unique ability to get them to open up and share their stories."
