SV Waldhof – SV Wehen Wiesbaden: 2-2 Draw in a High-Scoring Clash

Darmstadt – SV Waldhof Mannheim and SV Wehen Wiesbaden shared in an exciting 2-2 draw on Saturday afternoon, in a match that saw both teams display attacking prowess and defensive lapses.

Waldhof took the lead in the 16th minute, when Dominik Martinovic found the back of the net with a header off a corner.

Wehen Wiesbaden equalized just before the half-hour mark, when Benedict Hollerbach converted from the penalty spot after Waldhof goalkeeper Timo Königsmann brought down Phillip Tietz in the box.

Waldhof regained the lead early in the second half, when Marten Winkler headed home a cross from Baris Ekincier, but Wehen Wiesbaden again responded quickly, with Hollerbach scoring his second goal of the match just minutes later.

Despite creating several more chances in the closing stages, neither team could find a winning goal, and the match ended in a share of the spoils.

The draw means that Waldhof remain in 10th place in the table, while Wehen Wiesbaden move up to 12th.
