Traffic misery for drivers as major road CLOSES
The A12 is closed in both directions between junctions 28 and 29 after a lorry fire. National Highways said the road was shut at around 3.20pm today (June 15).
The road is expected to remain closed for “several hours” as emergency services work to deal with the incident.
The fire has caused severe delays on the A12, with tailbacks stretching back for several miles in both directions.
How to avoid the A12 closure
If you are planning to travel on the A12 today, you are advised to avoid the area if possible.
There are a number of alternative routes available, including the A14 and the M11.
