Match Report

Manchester United's Under-18s suffered a 3-2 defeat in their Premier League North fixture against Nottingham Forest at Carrington on Saturday.

The hosts took the lead twice in the first half through Mipo Odubeko and Kobbie Mainoo, but the visitors leveled on both occasions through Ethan Stewart and Josh Powell.

After the interval, the Reds failed to build on their double advantage, and Forest took advantage, with Powell scoring his second of the game to secure the win for the visitors.

Reaction

Speaking after the match, United coach Neil Ryan said: "We're disappointed with the result, but there were some positives to take from the game.

"The lads showed great character to come back twice from behind, but we need to be more clinical in front of goal and defend better as a team.

"We'll learn from this experience and come back stronger in our next game."

Next Fixture

United's Under-18s will be back in action on Saturday, March 4th, when they travel to face Blackburn Rovers in Premier League North.
